POSITIVE CLIMATE FOR NEW BUSINESSES IN PETERBOROUGH
BUT SMES SHOULD BEWARE OF THE IMPACT OF INSOLVENCY
New figures from the Insolvency Service* show that individual insolvencies in Peterborough are on the decline, which is good news for the local economy. In 2014 the rate of insolvencies was 22 people in every 10,000, down from 31 in 2009 and 2010. Generally, however, the rate of insolvencies has increased over the last 15 years. In 2000 the number was just 7 per 10,000.
